FATHER’S DAY GIFT IDEAS

By June 4, 2012No Comments

If you just don’t know what to get your Father this year, how about a casual shirt trimmed at the collar and cuff with a cool, contrasting fabric?

Three of my favorites are featured below:

Lavender Linen Check with Light-weight White Shorts or Pants

This custom casual shirt is all about Summer and Saratoga!  The linen fabric is one of the most comfortable in the heat of the summer and features contrasting lavender buttons and button hole thread, combined with trim at the collar in a complementary lighter lavender pattern.  The white bottoms can be your man’s favorite white shorts/pants…or a new pair of custom flat-front shorts or pants in light-weight wool…or summer-cool linen!

Light Blue Stripe with My Custom, Summer-cool corduroys!

This outfit brings a little more contrast into focus.  I chose a lighter blue bone button but trimmed the button holes in a tan to match one of the contrasting stripes in the fabric.  The collar trim is a medium blue pattern for more contrast.  (The shirt fabric is one of our performance fabrics…shedding wrinkles with ease!)

The trousers are from my Summer-cool corduroy collection and can be styled in shorts or pants.

Red check with black trousers...perfect all year!

For the guy who likes his clothes to have “staying power” all year long, this outfit is hard to beat!  A red cotton check with matching red buttons and button holes with contrasting lighter trim at the collar.  This shirt is perfect for a summer night at SPAC or Tanglewood with his favorite pair of jeans…or an evening cocktail party with a pair of custom black all-season pants from our gaberdine line.

The shirts can be trimmed at the cuffs, plackets, lapels, etc…it’s your choice!
