Knee and Joint Pain?

By June 16, 20133 Comments

My ongoing journey towards a total knee replacement (TKR) might have taken a slight turn aka delay!

One month ago, my senior basketball team competed in the Boston City Senior Basketball Championships.  (We took the gold after several very hard games!).  After our games, we re-hydrated, and later that evening I went to dinner with my wife, daughter and her boyfriend to Boston’s North End.  This required a short walk from Beacon Hill to the train…then a short walk to the restaurant…

Well…my knee joint was so sore, it literally took my breath away…and I was pretty sure I had “hit the wall” and would need to accelerate my TKR.  A large bag of ice afterwords helped…but for a few days my knee was in some real pain.  I reflected on whether I had done anything differently in my routine and realized that I had stopped taking PLAY AGAIN NOW  about 10 days prior…not by design…but due to my procrastination in re-ordering!

The half-life of this product is about 3-4 days…so I played in Boston with no Play Again Now in my system.  (I have been using Play Again Now to assist with my joint discomfort for over one year.)

I immediately got another bottle, and resumed my intake.  In fact, after speaking with the President of Play Again Now, Debbie Ecksten, I increased my dosage slightly to compensate for my workout schedule which is now pretty aggressive as we approach the Nationals at the end of July.

RESULTS:

Yesterday, my team competed in the Massachusetts State Senior Championships at Springfield College…we took the gold in our division again!  Here is our squad…

Springfield 2013 Spring Gold-60-64Back row:  Herm Harris, Bill Tureby, Gar Zeitler, Andy George  Front row: Ish McKrithen and me with The Rock!  (Missing from our Cleveland-bound team:  Mike Baggett, Dave Gambridge, Jim McCloud)

Last night, I had no knee discomfort…and today…no knee discomfort!  This is truly amazing...I am excited to get to the gym next week and see if this miraculous recovery continues!  If my knee responds like this, my TKR will be postponed for some time.  I’m hoping that they come up with a bionic knee before I need that TKR…so that I can jump over the rim!

Springfield 2013 rehydrating after the goldOur cute waitress…Bob Rodgers, me, Andy, Tom Sinopoli (competed in 65-69 Division!), Gar, Bill, Ish, and Larry Levy (3 weeks off open heart and champin’ at the bit to get back!)

Happy Father’s Day to everybody!

P.S.  A number of senior ballers I know and with whom I work out, have tried Play Again Now for knee, shoulder, back, toe joint pain, and everyone has had positive experiences.  If you’d like to research PLAY AGAIN NOW,  click on the preceding link.  The best way to try the product is to select “monthly auto ship” option to get free shipping.  If for any reason, you want to stop in the future, you just call and discontinue…best of luck!
