My Journey Towards a New Knee

By September 23, 20122 Comments

Saturday marked my first full-court game of basketball since the Buffalo tournament in March.   I had sustained a bad knee bruise during this tourney and seriously began considering a total knee replacement (TKR).  My knee was in a lot of pain back in early Spring.

Left knee…bone-on-bone!

Yesterday, unfortunately, my team lost but I played 85% of each 12 minute quarter on a full-size high school court…man-to-man defense the entire game and led all scorers with 20 points!

And after the game and today…no ice!  Just a little, normal post-game stiffness.  My knee actually feels fine!

As I’ve said before, I began taking a new product, Play Again Now in June.  This product has significantly reduced any knee pain I was experiencing and…for now…has postponed my consideration of getting my TKR for the forseeable future!

Thanks for the info. My husband suffers froms ever osteo-arthritis and has used the synvisc injection before. I have sent this link to him and encouraged him to discuss with his physician.

Thanks, Robin…hope this helps. I’ve tried the Synvisc (one shot form) twice and this product works better than the Synvisc. It also helps with all joints…not just the knee!
