Today I received a GQ post that I never thought about…at least not in the way they’ve highlighted a fashion blunder.
James Van Der Beek, well-known actor, is a solidly-built 6’1″ but made one fatal mistake recently. See if you can identify what his mistake was…
Ven Der Beek is wearing an outfit that GQ would otherwise endorse…slim-fitting checked shirt, white sneaks, trim-cut blue trousers…BUT…the contrasting, caramel-colored belt cuts him in half!
The solution? Simple…when wearing a belt with a casual (aka non-jacketed) outfit, wear a belt that is more monochromatic in color. Another option would be to wear the shirt out, over his pants…as long as the length of the shirt is appropriately short.
Ask your custom clothier about belts…and casual shirt lengths!
