SUITSFORTHECAUSE.COM announces a partnership with the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic and Christopher’s Custom.

Offering custom and off-the-rack menswear, SUITSFORTHECAUSE.COM allows customers to support the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic by donating 20% of every purchase towards cancer research.  Suits For the Cause is an extension of Christopher’s Custom, headquartered in Albany, NY.

The Coaches vs. Cancer Program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers athletic coaches, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the  fight against cancer.  Since the program’s inception in 1993,  over $80 million has been raised to support the American Cancer Society’s work to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

The Coaches vs. Cancer Classic is a men’s college basketball tournament which will be played November 16& 17 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.  Brigham Young University (BYU), Florida State University, The University of Notre Dame and Saint Joseph’s University will compete for the Classic title with semifinals on Nov. 16 and the consolation and championship games on Nov. 17.  All of the games will be televised live on truTV.  Additional information is available at www.cvcclassic.com and www.barclayscenter.com. For over 12 months, executives from the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic and Christopher’s Custom have been discussing the possibility of leveraging the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic’s “Suits and Sneakers Weekend” brand to generate more donations. After lengthy discussions and planning, SUITSFORTHECAUSE.COM was born.

SUITSFORTHECAUSE.COM participated in its first national fund-raising event at this year’s NCAA®Men’s Final Four®.  SUITSFORTHECAUSE showcased its products along with numerous women’s clothiers at the coaches’ wives luncheon known as “Fight Cancer in Style.”

Through its partnership with the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, Suits for the Cause provides an opportunity for basketball fans to contribute to the Cause. With the convenience of online shopping, fans have access to men’s suits, shirts, blazer, trousers, ties, and other casual accessories.  The readywear marketplace boasts beautiful super 100’s suits, cotton blend shirts, and Italian silk ties.  To experience the benefits of custom clothing, scheduling is available for almost anywhere in the country. About the National Association of Basketball Coaches

Located in Kansas City, Missouri, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Forrest “Phog” Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas.  Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game.  The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men’s basketball coaches.  All members of the NABC are expected to uphold the core values of being a Guardian of the Game by bringing attention to the positive aspects of the sport of basketball and the role coaches play in the academic and athletic lives of today’s student-athletes.  The four core values of being a Guardian of the Game are advocacy, leadership, service and education.  Additional information about the NABC, its programs and membership, can be found at www.nabc.org.
